Destination Weddings

Luxury Wedding Planning
For Celebrations Abroad

Your love knows no borders.

Let's take things international.

If you’ve got dreams of a beachside ceremony on the island of Mauritius, a Cape Town Winelands wedding or saying “I-do” on a cobblestone rooftop in Greece, we can make that happen for you. For those who love travel, a destination wedding is the ultimate way to turn your special day into a week-long celebration.

As much as we’re wedding planners based in KwaZulu-Natal, we use our broader network and the power of digital to put together the luxury destination wedding you’ve always imagined. Sure, attempting to hire someone from the country you want to get married in is always an option, but you won’t know what you’re dealing with until you get there. This is a gamble that many simply aren’t prepared to take when it’s the biggest day of your life.

By choosing OHD for your bespoke destination wedding planning, you’ll have someone who speaks your language with an extensive knowledge of what it takes to throw an unforgettable occasion. We’ll look into suppliers, logistics and all the finer details and before you know it, we’ll have everything taken care of. Our passports are always ready, and we’d love the chance to plan your big day somewhere even more exciting than the traditional venues we know and love.

“The team pulled together a wedding which was unique, stylish and exactly what we wanted. The flowers were out of this world, better than I even envisioned. The decor was on point- nothing was too much for the team.”

  • It's kind of a crazy, surreal time for us all right now. I haven't posted about COVID 19 yet because to be honest, it's just super overwhelming.

Personally my heart goes out to the doctors and all the people working in public service - may God envelop them and protect them over this period - thank you for your support and your bravery that you'll be enduring in the days to come ❤️ Business wise, I'm filled with gratitude for the courage and understanding our brides have shown over the past few weeks ; and the unwavering support our industry has shown towards one another as we pull together.

In the words of the president : "Let us never despair. For we are a nation at one, and we will surely prevail. May God protect our people. Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika. Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso. God seën SuidAfrika. God bless South Africa. Mudzimu fhatutshedza Afurika. Hosi katekisa Afrika."
.

We're still open and working as normally as we can from home. I promise to share more pretty distracting things with you all over the next three weeks, and @jessannprior is insisting we do some live Q&As.... Better now than ever I guess?
  • Delft crockery, crystal glassware, hand-painted name tiles and pops of over hanging pink bougainvillea.

A Mediterranean wedding dream came true this weekend!
  • It's a day late, but happy anniversary to our dearest @amyjjenkinson and @damiantsouris 💕

Remembering your beautiful day has brought some happiness to our hearts! And captured so beautifully by @brightgirl_sa

  • If you're reading this and you were meant to be attending a friend's wedding in the next few months, spare a thought for their broken hearts. Reach out to them, send that bride-friend some love.

If you were cherished enough by them to make their very selective guest list, then now is the time to get on that bus and ride the wave with them.

Our hearts go out to ALL brides right now. Sending so much love.
