The Oh Happy Day experience.

The happiest day of your life deserves to be beautifully and elegantly designed.

We are in the business of bespoke wedding design and implementation. Our team is passionate about creating unique, memorable wedding experiences for our couples, and we take pride in the fact that no Oh Happy Day wedding is ever the same.

As designers, we strive to be unique and push creative boundaries. We spend time building relationships with our clients, getting to know them as a couple, and then find a way to design an event that is tailored to their personality as one. It’s for this reason that our weddings are always so unique.

  • It's so wonderful to see how many people are buying our Everlast designs for special occasions (because every occasion needs celebration and beauty, am I right?) I thought I'd share a few of the #ohdeverlast orders that went out this week. Which one's your favorite?

Slide 1 : Peachy prettiness with a custom Everlast R985 for a new boss babe on the opening of her business.

Slide 2 : Stella R480 off to Jhb for a birthday party (baby Stella's 1st birthday)

Slide 3: A custom Everlast R985 in neutral tones and pops of gray and mustard for another special birthday girl

Slide 4 : Our Demi R450 as a "Good luck For Finals" gift

Slide 5 : Our Aurora Hoop off to Cape Town for an engagement present for a special couple

Each bloom chosen for our Everlast Designs undergoes a technical preservation process which means that each style is long lasting (up to a year or more, if cared for correctly). What better way to honour a special occasion 😉
  • Our regal #ohdbride @rae_osman in her custom Casey Jeanne gown (that TRAIN!)😍

Rae was a dream to work with and allowed us complete free reign when it came to designing their big day. So amazing to think we planned this luxury celebration in a single MONTH! I couldn't be prouder of the OHD Team for pulling out all the stops and setting our standards higher than ever before. We couldn't have asked for a better start to our level one weddings than this one.

  • Positively putting this out there into the universe : we'd LOVE an Italian Destination Wedding. Let's hope that the wedding fairies hear my plea and (when this pandemic reaches its end) make our Italian Riviera dreams come true. ✨

  • COVID-19 has definitely changed the way we celebrate weddings. This year, many couples found themselves having to postpone their big day or cut down their guest list. Some had virtual Coronavirus weddings. Others eloped, with the promise of a big party when the time was right. However plans have shifted, the important thing to remember is that love is never cancelled. As a KZN wedding planner, it’s been phenomenal to see how creative and resilient couples have been in reimagining their nuptials – and we’ve been right there with them!

And now, even though our communities are slowly opening up again, many brides and grooms are still choosing to move forward with more intimate weddings (at least for now). Along with all these changes, some new terms have popped up: minimony, micro wedding, and sequel wedding, for example. But what do these terms mean? And what are the differences between the various types of events?

Read all about minimonies, micro weddings and elopements today on the blog (link in bio).
