Oh Happy Day Brand Shoot
At the beginning of this year, my business rebranded with a new logo and website. Although the launch was successful, I felt the need to show potential brides Oh Happy Day’s brand personality in a way that words cannot portray.
All my brand shoots involve pre-shoot production, where I research the client and find ways to express what each brand is about. All shoots will have an agenda detailing each shot or look that will need to be taken; these will include stationery shots and a few headshots, for social media purposes. Having your photo taken is really not as easy you would think! It’s important that you spend your first 30 to 40 minutes feeling comfortable in front of the camera, relaxing and letting your guard down.
My own shoot was no different to the ones my clients book for their brands. I spent time thinking about the visual story I wanted Oh Happy Day to tell, I assessed my logo, the emotion that I feel for my business and I went back to various Pintrest images I’d saved way back at the start of my branding journey, for inspiration. My photographer, Casey Pratt also had some lovely ideas and we had more than one meeting discussing the direction the shoot would take. I’ve included some of my favourite images from my brand shoot in this blog post, I hope you enjoy them.
In case you haven’t already noticed, I absolutely love styling shoots. I love the creative energy involved in conceptualising different looks, tying collaborative efforts together and most of all I love the various reflections each shoot takes on. If you are interested in having me coordinate and style your brand shoot, please get in touch with me and enquire about the various personal brand styling packages that I offer. This is such an exciting journey for you and I would love to help you tell your brand story.
