Nonthando & Thami’s Wedding
Nestled amongst the hills in Waterfall, lies a gem of a wedding venue. This was our first wedding at The Du Boirs and I was blown away by their gorgeous gardens! It’s no surprise that Nonthando and Thami chose this as their wedding venue – it was the perfect place to host their garden wedding.
I loved this wedding because this was Oh Happy Day’s first garden wedding of the season and thankfully the weather played ball with us that Saturday. Nonthando wanted an elegant, chic wedding celebration with a colour palette of crisp, clean white and pops of yellow. Her bridesmaids wore all-white in keeping with the design of the day, with pops of yellow coming through in their shoes but the real show-stopper was our beautiful bride, who wore a custom designed Francois Vedemme bridal gown (which literally took my breath away). Nonthando’s colour palette and style of the wedding extended to their wedding reception, where the all-white tables were decorated with stunning crystal and floral centrepieces. Their elegant wedding cake, made by Cakes and Carriages, was a delicious work of art – hard to believe that the flowers which adorned this cake had been made from sugar.
Mr and Mrs Shezi you guys make one incredible couple and I wish you everything of the best in your walk together as husband and wife. Thank you for choosing Oh Happy Day to plan and coordinate your wedding. So much love and happiness, always!
PS. Even if you aren’t getting married, I highly recommend driving into Waterfall for an afternoon picnic on the beautiful lawns – you won’t regret it!
PPS. See if you can spot local SA Celeb Zakes Bantwini in the bridal party
