AN IN-HOUSE, OH HAPPY DAY SERVICE

Can we speak in flowers?

It will be easier for me to understand.

- Other Language -

Whether the brief is to turn a hall into a secret garden, fill a marquee with imported floral brights or create a hanging garden over the dancefloor, Oh Happy Day will make it happen. We have strong relationships with leading growers and local farmers to ensure both quality across the seasons, and sustainability. Our floral packages are based on the overall design aesthetic, and your budget.

We are proud to be affiliated with a number of local retirement centres in KwaZulu-Natal. This means that any florals left over the morning after a wedding are re-gifted to the retirement centres, with our couple’s permission, to bring joy to others for a few extra days.

“The team pulled together a wedding which was unique, stylish and exactly what we wanted. The flowers were out of this world, better than I even envisaged. The decor was on point- nothing was too much for the team.”

  • Hot enough for you? This heat paired with aircon shutdowns (thanks Eskom) has heightened my need for midday beach swims and popsicles.

Who's with me?

  • Just be lekker and respondez s'il vous plait!
  • This one's for our sentimental brides (those who still have their wedding flowers pressed between the pages of their bibles or have their bouquets stored in a box of tissue paper). Ps : Yes, I've just described myself.

The creatives at @soilandsoul.studio have revolutionized the concept of the keepsake wedding bouquet in the form of a paper weight (and other trinkets). If only I'd had this option in 2014, I'd be able to keep my bouquet on my desk as a beautiful reminder of our day. Sentimental much? 😍
  • These guys! 😍 bringing all the heat with their "just married" feels. Jessie and Gareth, you brought us so much joy.

  • Cake trios are definitely a thing this year, if our latest weddings are anything to go by. And it might seem extra, but we're loving the concept... Are you over the idea of one traditional 3 tier? Can't decide on just one flavour? Deciding to skip dessert on your wedding menu and serve your wedding cake as dessert instead? He likes carrot cake and you're sold on salted caramel? Choose 3! Sound excessive? Not really - even our wedding of 22 guests took a trio of smaller cakes instead of one big cake, and the different sizes, designs and heights worked beautifully on their cake table.

It's not just about aesthetics....having extra cakes means you have something sweet to offer your guests at tea the next day or invest in some personalised take-home cake boxes for guests who want a midnight snack (wedding favour : sorted!) Via @cake_ink
  • It's a "marshmallows-in-my- hot-chocolate" kinda Monday. And also, our day off. Bed, books, kitties and cuddles. Cheers to that!
